As one of my closest friend says, "Any game can become a cozy game if you make it one." Honestly, this game has me in such a state of curiosity that I cannot stop playing it, although I have found one ending to the game. There are so many secrets to uncover in the game and the choices you make to uncover these mysteries, affects the story.
I'm currently on my second play through of the game, and I cannot tell you the achievements I missed on my first play through. I'm struggling with just wanting to do my postal job and solving the new story I've started. My goal this playthrough is to buy all things from the catalogue! Why? Well, it helps you go through the mail easier, but I didn't do this the first time... well except I did tell people I could buy a skeleton key to escape.
Sometimes I just open the game to sort mail and do my job because it is so relaxing. Once you get into part two of the story, things really start picking up with character stories and in the post office. You start getting more challenges to your mail and package deliveries! For example, after the first chapter the city of Fellchurch appears! You have to burn their letters, unless told otherwise, over the candle.
I'm still working through all the puzzles as I do my job and I haven't been able to figure out the story of Ali. There are so many things to explore in this game, if you go into your bedroom you can see all the things you've discovered. There are areas that will hold story achievement/choices that you do in the story. One of the beginning ones is Amara, you can free her, shred her, or give her back to her mom. The quote with her trophy changes based on your choices.
Now, there are some creepy parts to this story and you die in weird ways sometimes. I haven't updated the shredder, but it's on my to do list since one of the achievements for the game is to die 3 ways. Some ways I have died is being aged by a witch, a horse siren, and drowning. The creepiest/scary parts of the game can be turned off so you don't see so much gore. This second playthrough, I turned it off to see the difference and it seems the flashy parts of the game have calmed down. When I started this game, I thought I was going to return it. I absolutely hate scary games, but this game distracts you really well with the sounds of rain and doing your postal job. Now would it be scarier if I didn't do my job? I'm not sure. I will try that in the next few days, but right now I am trying to earn money for everything in the book that would help my work ethic.

Can you customize your postal worker?
No, you don't ever see yourself in the game. There is a storyline where you can determine what a character calls you. It is not name specific though.
Do my choices affect the ending and story?
Absolutely! Every choice you make and do not make affect the story. Take your time and try to solve as much as you can before you get to the end decision.
Is there more than one way to escape?
Yes, there is a person on the island that can help you escape if done correctly. There is also the main way out by making a choice in the end.
Why do you wake up in different places at the beginning of each week?
You're in a loop and it starts over every week.
Is there one character I need to speak to?
Murkle, he lives by the newspaper and coffee table. In the second chapter he will draw an arrow up with smiley face and hearts. He lives in the ceiling. Talk to him first, every day that week so he can give you an item.
How long does the game take to complete?
Depending on your playstyle, it could take 10 to 15 hours for the main story and 20+ hours for completion.
Would you recommended this game to others?
Yes, this is something I pull up when I can't think of what else to play.
Do you get punished if you don't work or do things wrong?
Yes, you go to the penance chamber. I've only been once, but in the next play through I plan to cause chaos.
What would you tell others about this game?
If you like puzzles, solving mysteries, and escape rooms this is a game for you. It can be cozy game if you're a good little employee too.
Does it matter what you put on the application?
Yes, it helps decorate your room. There is an achievement that if you click good and bad with authority on the application. The application questions do come up in the Liv storyline as well!
